SALvest is an investment vehicle through which Sierra Leoneans and friends of Sierra Leone can start for-profit companies in various sectors of the Sierra Leone economy.
Sierra Leone has made substantial strides in improving its investment climate that benefit not only domestic companies but also make Sierra Leone attractive to foreign investors. In fact, Sierra Leone is one of Africa’s most active reformers of laws and business regulation in Africa.
Sierra Leone offers many opportunities to investors that are not available elsewhere. In addition to the available “first mover” advantage in numerous industries, the government has implemented an investment package that includes attractive fiscal and non-fiscal incentives, easy access to land with a smooth facilitation process, and duty free access to lucrative international markets.
SALvest was established to take advantage of these opportunities and aims to make Sierra Leoneans in the diaspora a significant source of foreign direct investment in Sierra Leone.
